2023-08-20, academic: As the first and corresponding author, Dr. Victor Wang publishes his paper entitled “Verifying empirical predictive modeling of societal vulnerability to hazardous events: A Monte Carlo experimental approach” in the high-impact peer-reviewed journal of Reliability Engineering and System Safety with open access. In his paper, Dr. Wang successfully demonstrates that machine learning models, such as artificial neural networks, can be effectively used to quantify societal vulnerability to hazards with historical data.
